A Brighter Downtown

Who doesn’t want to walk down a bright active downtown street?  This is exactly what Main Street Morgantown is working towards.  One can’t help but feeling a sense of darkness when walking down High St in the evening, especially considering it is dark now by 5:00 pm.  There is a reason for this, the lighting that was installed when the Streetscape project was completed, was not as bright as it could have been. Main Street Morgantown looking to hire new Executive Director

Main Street Morgantown, an award winning program for over 30 years, is seeking a highly motivated, dynamic, energetic, creative, and organized person to serve as Executive Director.

The successful candidate will be the central figure in assisting with the development and revitalization efforts and will manage all aspects of the operations utilizing the Main Street Four Point Approach TM.  This includes administrative duties, community outreach, public relations, fund raising, event planning and coordination, marketing, membership management, and day to day activities. The Executive Director will implement strategic goals for the district and will coordinate with the City of Morgantown, West Virginia University and Monongalia County.  This is a full-time position with some after hour events and meetings required.   Minimum of 5 years professional leadership experience and salary will be determined and commensurate with experience.
