389 Spruce Street

While Morgantown’s city charter was approved in 1838, it was not until 1924 that the city voted a bond issue of $150,000 to construct a city building. At the time of its construction, the building also housed the fire department, which remains evident in the shape of the building’s front windows and “FD” markers.
