MSM’s Summer Fundraising Activities

summer fundsThis summer, Main Street Morgantown (MSM) has applied for funding through the Growing Healthy Communities Grant Program and the Neighborhood Investment Program (NIP).

MSM’s application to the Growing Healthy Communities Grant Program was created in collaboration with Morgantown Board of Parks and Recreation (BOPARC), Mon River Trail Conservancy and the River Town Program with the goal of creating a safe passageway and effective wayfinding to direct visitors and residents between the Mon River/Caperton/Deckers Creek Trail trailhead, the Downtown Wharf and Downtown Morgantown. Together, these organizations aim to improve lighting in this underpass, establish the underpass as a pedestrian-only zone, and create signage leading to and from the trail. Offering over 75 retailers; 35 restaurants, cafes and taverns; and 100 professional businesses, our downtown supports a host of local businesses and local business owners.

In order to maintain this thriving downtown community, we need your support. Main Street Morgantown (MSM) is inviting individuals and businesses to participate in a project that will provide them with a 501(c)3 charitable tax deduction and WV state tax credits through the Neighborhood Investment Program (NIP). MSM has several annual events we are always interested in finding support for.
